Emergency Call Button from LifeCall

You've seen commercials on television for an emergency call button for seniors. What is it? A LifeCall personal emergency response system lets seniors live independently with immediate access to a button that they can press for immediate assistance from our responsive central help centre. Once our centre has been reached, we will either assist our client directly or dispatch emergency help as needed.

The LifeCall emergency call button works with a central system that you plug in, usually in a high traffic area of the home like the kitchen or living room. The button that you wear on your person works in conjunction with this unit to act as an efficient and simple emergency call button for the elderly.

Wear it around the house

You can choose to wear your LifeCall emergency call button as a pendant around your neck or on your wrist as a medical alert bracelet. The emergency call button for seniors is manufactured to be waterproof, so you can wear it in the shower or bath, where most falls in the home occur. You don't have to worry about wandering out of the range of your system; our technicians and helpful support representatives will help you set up the central unit so that you are free to use it throughout the house.

Not just an emergency response system

Press your emergency call button anywhere in your home to answer your phone, and it will act as a speakerphone so that you can talk hands-free anywhere in the house. You can even set up to eight personal medication reminders using LifeCall so that you'll never forget your medication again. Learn more about how LifeCall medical alert devices work.

What happens when the emergency call button is pressed?

When you press your LifeCall emergency call button, it will contact our monitoring centre and announce that help is required. You'll hear an announcement that it is contacting the monitoring centre, and you'll be immediately connected to a helpful emergency response operator who will dispatch whatever help is required for you. You can even customize the system so that you can control who is contacted first in the case of any emergency.

LifeCall isn't like a typical home alarm system, as it does not directly contact the authorities. This means that if you accidentally press the button, you will not be charged extra for the call. You can even cancel an accidental call by pressing the "Reset" button if you happen to be in the area of the central LifeCall unit.
