Medical Alert Service

We all know how home security systems work. If the alarm is triggered, the authorities are dispatched, and the criminals are caught. Your home is important to protect, but there is one thing that is more important than your home: your health. Medical alert services from LifeCall can save your life, just as it has saved the lives of thousands of Canadian seniors, those with disabilities and the chronically ill since we started the company in 1989.

LifeCall Medical Alert Services Saves Lives

The name of our company is at the heart of what we do. Our simple, easy-to-use system has two components; a central hub unit that you plug in to a power outlet and phone jack, and a wearable pendant or medical alert bracelet (wristband) that contains a button that you press if you require assistance in the event of an injury or other medical emergency. LifeCall's medical alert systems for seniors and those with disabilities is one of the finest in Canada.

Backed by ADT

LifeCall is a smaller division of the company ADT, who have made a name for themselves in the home and commercial security industry sector as a top-tier provider of security systems.

Certified Emergency Response Operators

Our Emergency Response Operators are re-certified annually to security industry standards, and spend at least six weeks in training before they take their first phone call. LifeCall operates a professional Emergency Response centre, not a call centre with undertrained employees.

How much does all this cost?

Whether you choose to rent or purchase the equipment, the monthly monitoring charge amounts to just a little more than the cost of a cup of coffee per day. There are no extra charges from LifeCall, but you should be aware that medical services such as ambulance rides may require that you pay an extra bill outside of LifeCall fees. Ambulance fees are usually quite reasonable, unless exceptional services like air ambulances are required. Learn more about billing options for your medical alert service.

Can I test the medical alert system to make sure it is working?

We recommend that you perform monthly tests on your system to ensure that it is functional. Just call into our customer service centre and they will guide you through these tests. In addition, your central system and the battery life of your wearable medical alert device are monitored through our security centre.
